Bystryakov Alexander

Alexander Bystryakov (1907 - 1966 ) was born in Odessa and studied in Moscow. He didn’t serve in the army and has not fought for health reasons. He married a Polish girl. During the war he was hijacked to work in Germany. After the liberation of Americans he emigrated to the United States to New York. To make a living he was engaged in painting. He died there. His wife returned to Ukraine to Izmail to her relatives. Most of his works the wife transferred to the Art Gallery of Izmail. During his life the works of Alexander Ivanovich participated in two exhibitions that was held in Ukraine: in 1936 in Dnepropetrovsk, in the House of Engineering and Technical Workers . His works were exhibited with the paintings of such artists as Maksymenko, Pogribnyak, Reshetnikov, Teplov and Hast. About this you can read in the evening edition of "Star", in the article «Creative Face by Artists of Dnipropetrovsk» on December, 19, 1936 said Ershov. Besides, his works were exhibited in June, 1941 in Kiev, where the first exhibition of painters from Dnepropetrovsk , Poltava, Priluky , Donetsk (Stalino) and Chernigov was held. The exhibition featured paintings, drawings and wood carvings.
